CHILEAN, SPANISH CARRIERS ENTER SPACE-CHARTER AGREEMENT
Compania Chilena de Navegacion Interoceanica and Compania Transatalntica Espanola have entered a space charter agreement covering the trade between Puerto Rico, Europe, the Mediterranean, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama and Venezuela.
Under the agreement, the parties may operate up to 12 liner vessels with capacities of 2,000 TEUs per ship.
The agreement does not allow the parties to create a joint service, discuss or agree on rates, pool cargo, or jointly operate marine terminal facilities.
