CHINA SHIPPING GROUP LAUNCHES SECOND ASIA/NORTH EUROPE SERVICE
China Shipping Group has launched a second weekly
container shipping service between Asia and northern Europe.
The new link, aimed at serving smaller Asian ports, is expected to call
at Dalian, Ningbo, Xiamen, Chiwan, Jakarta, Felixstowe, Rotterdam, Hamburg and Antwerp.
The exact schedule and itinerary of the service have not been finalized, according to a
spokesman for China Shipping Group.
The vessel capacity deployed by the new operation is not yet known.
The Chinese carrier, traditionally involved in the intra-Asian trade,
moved into the deep-sea trades earlier this year when it started its first weekly
Asia/northern Europe service in April.
