CHINA’S MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATIONS APPROVES THC
China’s Ministry of Communications has approved the collection of Terminal Handling Charges, according to a statement by COSCO (H.K.).
The level of these charges will be decided at an Asian Shipowners meeting in Manila on Feb.22, the statement said.
However, it is not entirely clear whether or not implementation of the THCs is still linked to China first being admitted to the World Trade Organisation, which was previously the MOC’s position.
