CII, American Shipper start logistics job portal
The Containerization & Intermodal Institute and American Shipper on Monday announced the launch of a new job portal for the transportation and logistics industry.
“The worldwide economic crisis has impacted many transportation companies and the professionals that committed their working life to our industry,” said Allen W. Clifford, CII president, in a statement.
“CII’s mission since 1960 has been about education and career development, so we feel compelled to do whatever we can to help.”
The new job portal is accessible free-of-charge here. It will allow job seekers interested in transportation and logistics positions to customize searches to their interests. CII will provide content for career transitions across industry sectors and general help information for finding the right job for users.
American Shipper has agreed to promote the new job portal to its readers, which include job seekers from all segments of the global containerized transportation industry, said James Blaeser, publisher.
