Fuller Industries, a supplier to commercial customers, will deploy Cloud Logistics’ transportation management software for its inbound and outbound transportation operations.
The international cleaning products manufacturer Fuller Industries will us the software-as-a-service transportation management system (TMS) from Cloud Logistics, the technology company said Tuesday.
Fuller, which designs and supplies products for commercial customers, said the company is targeting reduced costs and employee productivity by automating its transportation operations through the use of the TMS.
Debra Powers, chief financial officer of Fuller, said in a statement she “was impressed with Cloud Logistics’ ability to deploy very quickly, allowing us to attain a rapid return on investment.”
In a fragmented TMS market, Cloud emphasizes its ability to implement its TMS in a short timeframe, the company told American Shipper last month.
Fuller will use the solution to manage both inbound and outbound operations, including automated carrier selection.
“From a financial perspective, real-time freight accruals can be calculated right as the freight is loaded, rather than waiting for invoices to arrive,” Powers said.
“Companies across all segments of manufacturing are realizing that there are now transportation solutions available that can provide them with the right tools for logistics cost savings while not taking years to achieve payback,” Cloud Logistics CEO Mark Nix said.
