CLEARCROSS LAUNCHES GLOBAL E-COMMERCE NETWORK
New York-based software firm ClearCross has launched a global e-commerce network that brings together information providers and trade and logistics service providers.
The ClearCross Network is “a global commerce management platform” that connects companies and online marketplaces with the information sources, applications and shipping resources needed to conduct business across borders, the software firm said.
The network links e-commerce and enterprise application providers, integrated carriers, freight forwarders and government agencies. It will use XML-based messages to link businesses with ClearCross “trade engines” and provide information on regulatory, financial, and logistics questions that govern cross-border trade, and essential services such as customs agencies, freight forwarders, carriers, banks and insurance companies.
“By integrating and coordinating global commerce business processes, ClearCross delivers a breakthrough solution that reduces the time and expense incurred in planning, staging and executing global transactions,” the company said.
