CLK Cold Storage Company opens warehouse in Vietnam

The new warehouse is the first facility in Vietnam to provide a super frozen storage room, which reaches as cold at -58 degrees Fahrenheit.

   CLK Cold Storage Company Limited, a joint-venture between Japanese liner carrier Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (“K” Line), Cool Japan Fund Inc. and Japan Logistic Systems Corp., opened a cold storage warehouse in Vietnam, “K” Line said.
   The warehouse is situated about 13.7 miles from the center of Ho Chi Minh City and 15.5 miles from Cat Lai Port.
   It is the first facility to provide a super frozen storage room in Vietnam, according to “K” Line.
   The warehouse is temperature-controlled, providing storage anywhere from -50 degrees Celsius (-58 degrees Fahrenheit) to 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit).
   Situated on 19,000 square meters of land, the 7,000 square-meter warehouse is equipped with 17 dock shelters, four dock levelers, an emergency power generator, advanced thermal insulation equipment, temperature/atmospheric control within the warehouse, external air infiltration-suppression functions, 24-hour security and pest-proofing measures.
   Looking ahead, “K” Line said, “We will continue to contribute to the promotion of Japanese foods and ingredients in Vietnam, which is expected to grow even further in the future.”
