CLM elects Richards president

   The Council of Logistics Management, which will change its name at the beginning of 2005 to become the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), has elected Mark E. Richards as president for 2004-2005.

   Richards, who had been first vice president of the CLM, is vice president of Associated Warehouses Inc. The election concluded the CLM's annual conference, held Oct. 3-6 in Philadelphia.

   New officers serving on the council's 2004-2005 executive committee include Mary-Lou Quinto, first vice president; Rick D. Blasgen, second vice president, and Richard 'Rick' J. Jackson, secretary and treasurer. Quinto, who is director of global logistics for Genentech Inc., is in line to become president of the CSCMP in 2005.

   Blasgen is senior vice president for integrated logistics at ConAgra Foods, Inc. Jackson is senior vice president, logistics, at Limited Logistics Services, Inc.
