CMA CGM adds 5th Zeebrugge/Duisburg shuttle
CMA CGM Group said it has added a fifth rail shuttle between the Belgian port of Zeebrugge and the inland port of Duisburg in Germany.
Where the four existing trains call the CHZ terminal in Zeebrugge, the new shuttle will call the APMT terminal.
The trains are operated by CMA Rail and in Duisburg, at the confluence of the Rhur and Rhine River, call at the D3T Terminal.
'CMA CGM is in a position to offer a very broad spectrum of connections on land between the three Benelux ports (Zeebrugge, Antwerp and Rotterdam) and the Rhine Valley via the Duisburg D3T hub: first targets are Strasburg and Ludwigshafen. In the longer term other services will follow, maybe even as far as Moscow one day, said Joop Mijland, intermodal Europe manager.
