The French contaner carrier says it expects to handle 1 million TEUs of reefer cargo next year.
CMA CGM Group said it has acquired 7,000 refrigerated containers and now has a reefer fleet amounting to 185,000 TEUs.
The company said it is carrying 850,000 TEUs of refrigerated cargo annually and is targeting an annual volume of 1 million TEUs by next year.
CMA CGM said its reefer volumes “are increasing by 13 percent per year in a 6.5-percent growing market.”
