The French ocean carrier and its subsidiary Delmas will become slot purchasers on the joint Yang Ming, COSCO, Evergreen Line and “K” Line TAE service between North Europe and the United States East Coast in October.
Ocean carrier CMA CGM and its subsidiary Delmas will begin purchasing slots on the TAE service, jointly operated by Yang Ming, COSCO, Evergreen Line and “K” Line, between North Europe and the United States East Coast.
The French carrier and its subsidiary will join the service with the Oct. 5 eastbound sailing of the E.R. India from New York and with the westbound sailing of the Glen Canyon Bridge from Antwerp the same day, according to CMA CGM’s online service schedules.
According to ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting, the TAE has a port rotation of Antwerp, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Le Havre, New York, Norfolk, Charleston and Antwerp.
The service operates with four vessels with an average capacity of 5,824 TEUs. Yang Ming, COSCO, Evergreen Line and “K” Line, all members of the CKYHE Alliance, provide one vessel each. The CKYHE Alliance also includes Hanjin, but the Korean carrier does not participate on the TAE.
CMA CGM and Delmas will call the service the Liberty Bridge 2.
The French carrier suspended its Liberty Bridge service between North Europe and the United States East Coast in August.
According to BlueWater Reporting’s Capacity Report, CMA CGM currently provides vessels for four services between North Europe and the East Coast of North America: the Victory Bridge; the RTWPAN, which it jointly operates with Marfret; the Vespucci service, which it jointly operates with Hamburg Sud and UASC; and the SL1, which it jointly operates with Maersk Line.
