Coast 2000 to extend Vancouver container yard

Richmond, British Columbia-based exporter and warehouse operator Coast 2000 Terminals will expand its container yard at the Port of Vancouver by 10 acres, bringing its total yard space to 30 acres.

The expansion is scheduled to be complete by the second quarter of 2007 when the company’s storage capacity at the Canadian port will have increased to 22,000 TEUs.

In 2004, Port Vancouver Ventures, a subsidiary of the Vancouver Port Authority, sold its 50 percent stake in Coast 2000 to a subsidiary of Western Stevedoring.
