Coffee distributor opens warehouse near Port of Charleston

New Orleans-based Dupuy Storage and Forwarding opened a new, 100,000-square-feet coffee warehouse and distribution facility this week in North Charleston to serve the rising levels of imported coffee beans through the Port of Charleston, the South Carolina Ports Authority said.
Coffee volumes at the Port of Charleston are up 60 percent during the past two years, due to demand by U.S. coffee roasters and higher consumption in the Southeast as the population increases.
Both Arabica and Robusta beans are imported through the port from growers in Latin America and Africa.
