COMMERCE EXTENDS DEADLINE TO JOIN U.S./KOREA BUSINESS GROUP
The U.S. Commerce Department said it will extend its deadline for industry members to join the U.S.-Korea Committee on Business Cooperation (CBC) until March 31.
The purpose of the committee is to make recommendations to the governments of the United States and South Korea to produce stronger commercial ties between the countries.
The CBC is co-chaired by the Commerce Secretary and South Korean Minister of Commerce, Industry and Energy.
The committee is set to expire Jan. 1, 2001, but may be renewed upon mutual agreement between the countries.
