The chassis pool management company will launch its “quick and seamless” booking system for chassis and other related equipment starting Oct. 2, Consolidated Chassis Management said in a statement.
A new booking system through Consolidated Chassis Management allows for seamless chassis booking online.
Chassis pool manager Consolidated Chassis Management will launch a new booking system in all of its cooperative chassis pools in October for use by motor carriers, beneficial cargo owners and ocean carriers, the company said in a statement.
The new booking system replaces the current system which consists of emailed requests by providing a quick and seamless process to gain a chassis booking, Consolidated Chassis Management explained. Users must first register at Barechassis.com in order to gain a release, and once registered, they can then choose their preferred release availability.
“We are confident that this will expedite and improve service to the motor carrier and customer community,” said Jon Poelma, senior vice president and chief operating officer.
The system is reminiscent of the 2013 launch of Chassis Finder, which allowed truckers to find and lease a chassis in one web-based system.
According to Consolidation Chassis Management, the switch to the new booking system will involve a full cutover on the state date. Any unregistered parties who request chassis via email after the start date will be instructed to register so they can gain a release. The new system will be rolled out beginning Oct. 2, the company said.
