The third-party logistics provider will handle logistics services for Corning Incorporated’s customers out of a new distribution center in Yangshan, Shanghai.
Kuehne + Nagel established an agreement with Corning Incorporated to manage the company’s distribution requirements for its Corning Life Sciences business in the Asia-Pacific market, K + N said.
Corning, which has expertise in specialty glass, ceramics and optical physics, creates and sells components that enable high-technology systems for consumer electronics, mobile emissions control, optical communications and life sciences.
Under the agreement, K + N will handle the company’s logistics needs from a new distribution center in the Yangshan Free Trade Port Area in Shanghai.
Kuehne + Nagel will provide a variety of services including consolidation of intercontinental seafreight shipments from Corning Life Sciences` global locations, warehousing, pick and pack, and distribution of products for the Asia-Pacific market.
