COSCO COMMENCES TAICANG/BUSAN CONTAINER SERVICE
China Ocean Shipping Co. has started a weekly container service from
Taicang, in China’s Jiangsu province, to Busan, South Korea.
The service calls at the new COSCO Taicang Terminal opened last
December by COSCO. Taicang, located north of Shanghai, is part of part of the Shanghai
international shipping center complex.
A spokesman for COSCO said that the first ship of the Busan service
carried 117 TEUs of export containers.
