COSCO OPENS NEW CONTAINER AGENCY COMPANY IN SHANGHAI
China Ocean Shipping Co. has opened a newly-established
container shipping agency subsidiary in Shanghai.
COSCO Shanghai Container Shipping Agency Co. Ltd. was established by COSCO
Container Lines and COSCO Container Shipping Agency Co. Ltd.
The new company will bring together agency tasks related to declarations,
inspections, pilots, berthing, stevedoring, material supply and crew service when
container vessels enter and leave the Shanghai port. COSCO said that the company will also
provide other services, such as booking, customs clearance, application for various
inspections, warehousing, transhipment, bill of lading issuing and freight payment and
collection.
