Cosco sets container repositioning fee in Asia
Cosco Container Lines issued a notice to customers Wednesday that it would begin charging an equipment repositioning charge on shipments from all parts of Asia to the United States.
The carrier said the surcharge is necessary to cover container repositioning costs it is incurring in Asia. The surcharge goes into effect Sept. 15 and is $320 per TEU, $400 per FEU, $450 per 40-foot high cube container and $506 per 45-foot container.
