COSCO SETS UP LOGISTICS E-COMMERCE ARM
The China Ocean Shipping Co. group has set up COSCO Network Ltd., a business-to-business e-commerce company.
COSCO Network will have an Internet platform to provide services including global e-commerce transportation, e-commerce logistics and a communications network, COSCO said.
Wei Jia Fu, president of the COSCO group, said: “COSCO Network actively seeks out business alliances and will also utilize state-of-the-art technologies to enhance its product offerings.”
The COSCO group will be the first customer of COSCO Network.
“Based on COSCO’s advantages of having a vast number of business points located worldwide and its command of market share in the transportation industry, COSCO Network is determined to become the leader in the e-commerce logistics and communications network provision in the world,” a spokesman for the company said.
