COSCO UPGRADES GENOA/NEW YORK SHUTTLE SERVICE
China Ocean Shipping Co. has increased the frequency of its Genoa/New York/Genoa shuttle service from sailings every 10 days to weekly sailings.
The Chinese carrier is adding a third vessel, the 1,702-TEU Xiang Yung He, to the service.
The weekly frequency becomes effective from the Oct. 4 eastbound sailing and from the Oct. 14 westbound departure.
The upgraded service will now leave New York every Wednesday. Sailings from Genoa are every Saturday.
COSCO had started the New York/Genoa shuttle service in May.
