COSCO WILL START GENOA/NEW YORK SHUTTLE ON MAY 31

   China Ocean Shipping Co. will commence its previously-announced Genoa/New York shuttle service on May 31.

   The “Genoa New York Express” liner service will kick off with the sailing of the “Bux Sailor” from Genoa.

   COSCO said that the service is without intermediate calls and provides a transit time of eight days from Genoa to New York and vice versa. The service will have a frequency of every 10 days.

   COSCO said that the first vessel in the service will call at Naples, too.

   A spokesman for COSCO in Italy said that the carrier will accept cargo for all main inland destinations, including on the Pacific coast and in Canada
