CP SHIPS CENTRALIZES MARINE OPERATIONS, INSURANCE, CLAIMS

   CP Ships has named Godric Baron vice president of marine operations,
insurance and claims. He is based at CP Ships headquarters in London.
   Baron’s responsibilities include overseeing tonnage acquisitions, both
chartered and owned.
   Baron joined CP Ships as operations director for Contship Containerlines and
later became chief executive officer of Ivaran Lines until Ivaran was integrated into the
Americana Ships joint venture, which CP Ships shares with TMM.
   Reporting to Baron are Ian Greig and Jock Mawson. Greig heads CP Ships Marine
group and serves as executive director of Canada Maritime. Mawson has been responsible for
CP Ships’ insurance and claims since June 1998.
