CREDITORS TO LIQUIDATE AEROPERU
Creditors of AeroPeru have voted to liquidate the airline, which has
been grounded since March and suffering from excess debt.
The move to close what was once Peru’s leading airline was expected
after all plans, including proposed investment packages from Continental Airlines and
Delta Air Lines, failed to save the carrier.
LanChile, Chile’s leading airline, has filled AeroPeru’s void by opening
a start-up carrier called LanPeru.
