Crowley adds Saturdays to Bahamas service

Crowley Maritime Corp.’s liner services group will now offer shippers a second weekly southbound sailing from Port Everglades, Fla., to Nassau, Bahamas, starting Saturday, March 23.
The new sailing adds to Crowley’s current schedule, which includes a Friday sailing from Jacksonville, Fla., and a Tuesday sailing from Port Everglades.
The new Saturday sailing gives shippers an additional option to transport their goods, including groceries, retail merchandise, building materials, refrigerated products, and vehicles from Port Everglades to Nassau each week. The Monday vessel arrival in Nassau also “aligns well with the logistical needs of the local market,” the company said.
To Nassau, Crowley offers both full- and less-than-containerload services. For shippers sending cargo to the United States from Nassau, Crowley offers a northbound service to Jacksonville and Port Everglades weekly, departing on Mondays and Wednesdays.
