Crowley Maritime Corp. christened its newest tanker, Florida, on Wednesday at the Aker Philadelphia Shipyard.
The 46,000-deadweight-ton ship and a sister ship, Pennsylvania, that was delivered by Aker last fall, can carry 330,000 barrels of petroleum products and chemicals.
In addition to the self-propelled tankers, Crowley owns and operates 17 articulated tank barges with capacities ranging from 155,000 to 330,000 barrels.
