CROWLEY MARITIME CORP. TO FORM LINER SERVICES SUBSIDIARY
Crowley Maritime Corp. said Monday that once it completes the sale of its
South American liner services to Hamburg Sud, it will operate its
remaining Caribbean and Latin American services under a new name, Crowley Liner Services
Inc.
As previously reported, Crowley Maritime will divide the remaining liner
services of its Crowley American Transport subsidiary following the projected Nov. 1 sale.
John Douglass, senior vice president and general manager, will manage Crowley
Liner Services – Puerto Rico/Caribbean, which covers services between the United States
and Puerto Rico and the eastern Caribbean.
Rinus Schepen, senior vice president and general manager, will head
Crowley Liner Services – Latin America, which includes services between the United States
and Central America, Mexico and the western Caribbean islands.
Douglass and Schepen report to Tom Crowley Jr., chairman, president and chief
executive officer.
The management team for Puerto Rico/Caribbean will include Tom Farmer, vice
president of pricing and yield management; Dennis Derby, vice president and general
manager of sales and marketing; Roberto Lugo, vice president, Puerto Rico; Ray Fitzgerald,
vice president, Caribbean Islands; Rudy Leming, vice president operations; Jerry Farnell,
director of marine operations and traffic; and Matt Devine, director of financial
analysis.
The Latin America management team includes Jorge Estevez, vice president of
pricing and yield management; Charlie Dominguez, vice president of sales and marketing;
Michael Hopkins, vice president of operations; Juan Cambo, director, Central America
services; and Rob Clapp, director, financial analysis.
