CSAV BUYS CONTROL OF LIBRA NAVEGACAO
Chile’s CSAV has bought control of Libra Navegacao, the shipping line,
marine agency and coastal oil transportation division of Brazil’s Grupo
Libra.
Libra will continue to operate independently in its current services
linking the U.S., Mexico, South America and the Mediterranean.
The transaction does not include Libra’s inland barge operation or
shipyard or Libra Terminais, which operates terminals at the Brazilian
ports of Santos and Rio de Janeiro.
