CSAV says U.S. authorities OK merger with Hapag-Lloyd

CSAV said the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission have approved plans to merge CSAV’s container business with Hapag-Lloyd.
“This is part of the consultation process to regulatory authorities that the two companies are carrying out,” the Chilean shipping company said.
CSAV and Hapag-Lloyd signed in April a binding agreement, and CSAV said materialization of the plan is subject to the approval of regulatory authorities around the world.
