CSCMP elects new officers
The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals elected Roger W. Woody, the head of supply chain strategy for Embarq Logistics, as chairman of the board during its annual meeting in Denver last week.
Robert B. Silverman, vice president IT business systems for Tommy Hilfiger USA, was elected to the position of chairman-elect.
Keith Turner, general manager for alumina and bauxite sales at ALCOA Inc., is vice chairman, and Nancy W. Nix, director of the Supply Chain and Value Chain Center at Texas Christian University, is secretary and treasury.
Outgoing chairman Richard Murphy, chief executive officer of Murphy Warehouse Co., will remain on the board.
