CSX drops plan for South Carolina terminal
CSX has decided not to build an intermodal rail terminal in Chester County in South Carolina, according to a report in the South Carolina newspaper, The State.
The newspaper quoted a CSX spokesman as saying that instead the railroad will concentrate on upgrading an existing terminal across the border in Charlotte, N.C.
After CSX announced its plan to build a terminal in Chester, some residents living near the proposed site expressed opposition.
