CSX LINES CREATES HORIZON SERVICES GROUP
CSX Lines has created Horizon Services Group through the restructuring of the existing organization of CSX Lines.
HSG will operate separately from CSX Lines operations, providing ocean carriers and inland logistics customers cost effective “order-to-cash” services through the integration of people, technology and business systems.
The Horizon system places the entire order-to-cash process online, creating a virtually paperless environment from booking to billing with new information available to all users as it is entered into the system.
Horizon Services Group will customize the system for each new client. Services will include “back-office” functions, such as customer service, documentation, e-Business, information technology and other business operating processes.
The new company will be based in Dallas, and will employ about 150 business and IT staff — formerly CSX Lines employees.
