CSX names Munoz president

CSX Corp. has appointed Oscar Munoz as president and Cindy Sanborn as executive vice president of operations.

   CSX Corp. has appointed Oscar Munoz as president.
   Munoz will also maintain the role of chief operating officer of the Class I railroad.
   Before joining CSX in 2003, Munoz served as chief financial officer and vice president of AT&T Consumer Services. He has held senior executive positions with other corporations such as Coca-Cola and PepsiCo.
   The railroad has also promoted Vice President and Chief Transportation Officer Cindy Sanborn to executive vice president of operations. During the more than 25 years with CSX, Sanborn has risen through the operating department to a number of senior management roles, including vice president of northern region operations. She currently serves on the boards at Conrail, the Belt Railway of Chicago and the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad.
  CSX said Michael J. Ward remains chairman and chief executive officer.
