CSXI TO EXPAND CAPACITY IN SAVANNAH
CSX Intermodal, which handles the majority of freight coming in and out of the Port of Savannah, will increase on-deck capacity at the Georgia Port Authority's Garden City Terminal.
The 30-percent expansion will result from the GPA's completion of the Mason Intermodal Container Transfer Facility. There are additional plans for construction of an eighth container berth at the Garden City Terminal. This facility will run four new high-speed container cranes.
