CSXT RESTRUCTURES MERCHANDISE SERVICE GROUP
CSX Transportation has restructured its Merchandise Service Group and
has announced several personnel changes designed to focus the group more
closely on local customers service.
The group is consolidating along four major commodity lines:
manufactured goods, including food, forest and paper products; bulk
products, including grain, agricultural products, fertilizers and minerals;
metals; and chemicals.
James A Howarth, vice president-commercial operations in the Northeast,
will head the manufactured goods group. Raymond L. Sharp, vice
president-coal sales and marketing, will lead the bulk products group. J.
Michael Woodall, assistant vice president, continues to head the metals
group. Christopher P. Jenkins, vice president will continue to lead the
chemical group.
