Dachser adds warehouse capacity in Europe

The third-party logistics provider is opening new facilities in Germany, Austria and France.

Dachser SE, parent company of Dachser USA Air & Sea Logistics Inc., is strengthening its contract logistics operations across Europe with the opening of new facilities in Germany, Austria and France, the company said.
The third-party logistics provider expanded the Ueberherrn Logistics Center and Eurohub in Germany to include a contract logistics warehouse offering 36,000 square feet of space, which will commence operations by the end of October.
In addition, Dachser broke ground on the expansion of its logistics center in Austria at the end of June, which will be operational in early 2017 with around 33,000 square feet of storage space.
Dachser also chose to expand warehousing capabilities in two locations in France – Salon de Provence in southern France and the city of Reims in the north.
In the United States, Dachser provides its customers with over 350,000 square feet of space in five major cities, which include Chicago, Atlanta, Miami, Memphis and Charlotte.
Dachser, which said it is on pace to open 25 offices in the U.S. by 2020, currently serves a dense network of 428 locations across the world.
Correction: A previous version of this story said Dachser’s expansion in Austria would offer 10,700 square feet of storage space and that the company serves a dense network of 437 locations across the world.
