Dachser Transport of America Inc. (Dachser USA), the U.S. division of Germany-based Dachser GmbH & Co., has appointed John Barbasetti di Prun to director of ocean freight for the United States.
In this role, Barbasetti di Prun will oversee all ocean forwarding operations for Dachser USA’s growing client base. Dachser has recorded very strong growth in the United States, with sales increasing to more than US$108 million last year.
Barbasetti di Prun joins Dachser USA from Geodis Wilson USA, where he was a member of the company’s U.S. management team. Before that, he was an account executive with Mediterranean Shipping Co. and served in various management positions at freight forwarders in New York and Italy.
