Dachser’s revenues jump 6.5%

The global third-party logistics provider posted revenues of 5.6 billion euros for fiscal year 2015, a 6.5 percent year-over-year increase.

   Dachser, a global third-party logistics provider based out of Kempten, Germany, posted revenues of 5.6 billion euros (U.S. $6.3 billion) for fiscal year 2015, a 6.5 percent year-over-year increase, the company said.
   Shipments rose 4 percent year-over-year to total 78.1 million, while tonnage jumped 5.2 percent to 37.3 million metric tons.
   Dachser’s Road Logistics segment, which makes up 72 percent of the company’s revenues, saw revenues grow 5.9 percent  to 4.2 billion euros. Meanwhile, the company’s Air and Sea Logistics segment saw revenues jump 8 percent year-over-year to 1.6 billion euros.
   “We reaped the rewards of our long-term investment policy and growth strategies, which we are consistently implementing throughout the company,” Dachser CEO Bernhard Simon said. “European exports remain our growth engine, in addition to solutions that intelligently combine overland, air, and sea freight. But mostly, our customers respect the fact that we consistently focus on quality.”
