DANZAS AEI ADOPTS NEW ORGANIZATION, NAME

   Danzas AEI, the international forwarding arm of the Danzas group formed following the takeover of Air Express International, has adopted a new organization and management.

   All subsidiary companies have been renamed “Danzas AEI” and the former holding company Air Express International Corp., based in Darien, Conn., has also changed its name to Danzas AEI Corp.

   The Danzas group said that it has completed the first stage of the integration of Danzas AEI.

   At the group level, Peter Wagner is chairman of Danzas AEI and chief executive officer the Danzas group. Guenter Rohrmann, former CEO of AEI, has been appointed vice chairman of Danzas AEI. Renato Chiavi, the head of the intercontinental business unit division of Danzas, has been named CEO of Danzas AEI.

   Danzas said that Rohrmann “will be responsible for a number of existing and future top accounts.” He also will be involved in integrating the joint venture and agent businesses and heads the regional integration steering committee of the Americas.

   The entire integration process of Danzas AEI will take between 12 and 18 months, the company said.

   The Danzas group, based in Basel, Switzerland, has net annual sales of about $7.6 billion and is owned by Deutsche Post group.
