DANZAS WILL ACQUIRE SECURICOR’S FORWARDING OPERATIONS
Danzas, the rapidly-expanding logistics subsidiary of the Deutsche Post
group, will acquire the air and freight forwarding business of the British firm Securicor
Omega International.
Danzas said that it is finalizing the acquisition, to enable Securicor to
focus on road transport.
Securicor will also become the exclusive agent of Danzas in Great Britain, as
part of a cooperation deal on groupage (Less-than-Truckload) and part load transport.
In recent months, Danzas has acquired the transport and distribution
activities of Nedlloyd, the Swedish forwarding group ASG and the Irish freight forwarder
Meadowsfreight.
