DAVIES TURNER EXPANDS U.K. FREIGHT NETWORK
Davies Turner has expanded its U.K. freight network with a new $8.5-million expansion to its existing regional distribution center in Dartford.
The expansion adds a 6,000-square-meter warehouse and 600 square meters of office space to the existing center, effectively doubling its size. The terminal now occupies more than nine acres with 150,000 square feet of warehousing and offices that will employ of up to 200 staff.
'Dartford is one of the group's largest and most important hubs, the other (centers) being at Heathrow, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham and Glasgow, with an additional 16 satellite branches supporting them,' said Philip Stephenson, joint managing director.
