DB Schenker is planning to construct a 41 million euros ($55 million), 54,520-square-foot logistics center in Singapore.
The warehouse — which will be geared toward the healthcare, electronics and automotive industries — will be located close to Changi International Airport in the Tampines LogisPark.
The facility is being built to environmentally friendly standards. No timeline for the construction has been released.
“This new facility represents our largest investment in the region to date and acknowledges the continued attractiveness of Singapore as a location to conduct logistics operations,” DB Schenker’s Darren Wedding said in a statement. “This facility is a key element of our Shared Logistics Center Strategy that will see many new sites developed across the Asia Pacific Region in the coming years.” – Jon Ross
