Delamode buys John Shirley

   Delamode, a U.K.-based logistics and freight forwarding company, said Friday it has acquired John Shirley Ltd., a specialist freight forwarder in the West Balkans region. 
   John Shirley has more than 20 years experience of handling transportation of cargo between the United Kingdom and the Balkan countries.
   Delamode currently has operations in nine countries (Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Lithuanian, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and the United Kingdom) and has recently started operating in Montenegro. Plans are in place to extend its presence further into the West Balkans through the opening of offices in Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Albania.
   Delamode said the acquisition will also it to use the expertise that John Shirley has in the West Balkan regions, including humanitarian aid logistics.
   John Shirley, the founder and managing director of the company, will join the Delamode Group.
