DEUTSCHE POST ROLLS OUT PAN-EUROPEAN PARCELS SERVICE
Deutsche Post, the fast-growing postal and logistics
group, has introduced its uniform pan-European parcel and distribution service.
Named "EURO EXPRESS," the service will be "the flagship of Deutsche Post
and its partner companies leading our development of both the German and European parcel
and distribution market," the German group said.
Deutsche Post, its subsidiary companies and partners will adopt a joint
brand throughout Europe. The group aims to show that it is able to offer one-stop
solutions tailored to the requirements of the customer.
The introduction of the uniform service follows months of setting up a pan-European
distribution network by Deutsche Post.
The partners of Deutsche Post in this network are: recently-acquired
Van Gend & Loos in Belgium/The Netherlands/Luxembourg; ASG, a new subsidiary, in
Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden; Ducros in France; Guipuzcoana in Spain and Portugal;
MIT in Italy; Securicor Omega Express in the U.K. and Ireland; Quickstep in Austria,
Switzerland and the Czech Republic; and Servisco in Poland.
In several countries, Deutsche Post’s subsidiaries’ and partners’
outside Germany will use the EURO EXPRESS brand while continuing to operate under their
own name.
