DHL adds 2 India-China LCL services

DHL Global Forwarding said Friday it has started two new less-than-containerload (LCL) services from India to China.
The services connect Nhava Sheva and Chennai, India’s two largest container ports, with Shanghai, the world’s busiest port.
“The new direct services offer substantial saving in transit time; from Nhava Sheva to Shanghai in 17 days and from Chennai to Shanghai in 15 days, to meet the increasing needs of customers, particularly from the retail and automotive component sectors,” DHL said in a statement.
DHL said it guarantees cargo will be available in its Shanghai warehouse within 72 hours upon the ship’s arrival in the port. – Eric Johnson
