DHL AIRWAYS NAMES FARSHCHI CIO

   DHL Airways, the U.S. operating arm of DHL Worldwide Express, has named Shawn Farshchi senior vice president, information services and chief information officer.

   Farshchi will manage DHL's telecommunications, technical infrastructure, business applications and electronic information integration and exchanges with customers. He will also oversee development of strategic technology products.

   Farshchi has been with DHL since 1995. Before that he worked in various technology management positions at Syntex Corp., GTE Spacenet, GTE Sprint and Bechtel Power Corp.
