DHL Forwarding expands in Charlotte
DHL Global Forwarding said it has consolidated operations and moved to a larger facility in Charlotte, N.C., that also has the benefit of being closer to the airport and U.S. Customs.
The 52,000-square-foot facility combines the air and ocean forwarding, customs brokerage and warehouse operations of DHL Danzas Air & Ocean and Exel Freight Management that existed at separate locations prior to DHL's takeover of logistics provider Exel late last year. Warehousing space is more than double the previous capacity at the two former locations.
Charlotte is the company's only office in the Carolinas that handles international air and ocean shipments.
