DHL Supply Chain is to acquire control of Brazilian road carrier Polar Transportes, which provides transportation services to the Life Sciences and Healthcare industry.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Polar Transportes has been working as a service provider for DHL for over 15 years. The company has 400 full-time employees specialized in temperature-controlled transportation requirements, and a fleet of over 300 trucks, providing national coverage.
DHL will retain Polar Transportes’ management team.
The transaction is still subject to approval from the Brazilian competition authorities.
