The new DC is equipped with 16,800 square-meters of distribution and logistics space and 2,400 square-meters of office space.
The first distribution center at the London Gateway Logistics Park, called the DP World London Gateway Logistics Centre, has officially opened.
The new center offers 16,800 square meters of distribution and logistics space and 2,400 square meters of office space, DP World London Gateway said. Terminal operator DP World plans to eventually increase the center to a total of 36,000 square meters.
The center is jointly operated by DP World and the logistics services provider Import Services Limited.
“This new logistics hub has been constructed to the highest quality and environmental standards,” DP World Chairman HE Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem said in a statement. “It is the perfect example of how retailers and cargo owners can achieve cost savings by positioning themselves strategically, here, in the right location for trade.”
