Dow Corning renews contract with APL
APL Logistics said Monday it extended a contract with Dow Corning Corp. to provide warehouse and land transport services.
APL Logistics will manage Dow Corning's North America distribution center, a nearly 400,000-square-foot facility in Shepherdsville, Ky., as well as oversee land transport for Dow Corning products shipped to U.S. and Mexican locations.
The agreement takes effect May 1 and is the ninth consecutive contract renewal between Midland, Mich.-based Dow Corning and APL Logistics.
Last year APL Logistics managed more than 10 million pounds of freight per week network-wide for Dow Corning. Weekly outbound volume at the Shepherdsville distribution center is expected to exceed 2 million kilograms per week.
